Grumial
In 2021 we opened in Tignale the Bottega del Garda, a shop selling typical products from Lake Garda.
During the first year of activity, we noticed that people were increasingly interested in buying local products made from quality raw materials
Our customers’ curiosity for the craftsmanship of the products they purchased was a constant source of inspiration.
From the desire to satisfy customers’ demands, combined with our passion, Grumial was born.
We started with the production of gin for two distinct reasons: our passion for distilled spirits, which has accompanied us for years, and the ambition to propose a product that was still absent in our region.
We started by selecting botanicals and moving towards those that best represented the territory and created the right balance of flavours.
Our strength lies precisely in the raw materials: we use high-quality and hard-to-find botanicals that come from two small villages on Lake Garda, Tignale and Gargnano.
In Brescian dialect, Grumial is the name of the basket, made of donkey skin, that farmers tied around their waists and used to store the olives and citrus fruits they picked by hand.
The name Grumial became a source of inspiration for us when creating our first distillate, gin.
After much thought and countless ideas that drew on the places of origin of the botanicals and the paths that connect them, it was the memory of Grumial that illuminated our choice.
The mission will be on the production of high quality spirits and liqueurs that tell the story and the
unique identity of the region.
Grumial’s vision is to create an authentic link that binds local tradition to craftsmanship excellence.
